Americover’s 12 mil Heat Shrink Wrap is an industrial grade made of polyethylene containing fractional melt virgin plastic resins and other additives. 12 mil is flame retardant and the thickest grade of Heat Shrink Wrap material we provide. 12 mil can withstand over 900PSF. This White colored shrink wrap is the color that works best for most shrink wrapping applications. White reflects heat and stays tight in all weather conditions which makes it an ideal transportation cover. In addition, as the white reflects heat it keeps whatever is underneath the shrinkwrap more of a constant temperature, thereby minimizing condensation and moisture build up. Our 9mil shrink wrap will outperform its competitors of the same thickness. To start the biaxial shrinking process simply subject the 12 mil film to heat from one of our heat shrink guns. Typical applications should expect to see the film shrink to about 20-25% of the original dimensions. Once the film has been heated it turns into in a tight fitting, second skin-like, protective covering. It can be used on just about any structure. This heat shrink stretch film contains fire retardant (FR) additives, and ultraviolet inhibitor (UVI) additives. UV inhibitors significantly extend the life span of the film for those applications involving exposure to the sun for up to 2 years. Americover offers several mil thicknesses for different types of applications. All of our shrink wrap is made of 100% virgin resin materials and is recyclable using the REBAG Recycling Bags. It is a #4 Low Density Polyethylene.
